Gold Star Analysis was founded by Karen Dufrene, initially to fill temporary or ad-hoc gaps in our clients' organisations, where business analysis skills were unavailable to meet the demands of tight deadlines or performance targets.

The company has progressed to fulfilling repeat and ongoing contracts to clients, still working flexibly to meet clients' deadlines without incurring the cost of full-time analysts or finance professionals. We always strive to meet demanding timescales as we appreciate the importance of timing in the marketplace. We are driven by results and have an excellent track record of completing projects to time, scope and cost.

Projects are commonly themed by the desire to improve organisational performance, whereby the objective data analysis can confirm hunches or reveal unknown cause and effect. We have a range of credit, debt, finance and data specialists to fit project requirements.

Gold Star Analysis is based near Cambridge, UK with clients locally, nationally and in Europe. With experience of working with large corporations, government organisations and smaller, start-up businesses across a variety of sectors, we provide an independent and professional service.

Karen Dufrene began her career working within Finance departments at Shell HQ in London, which provided invaluable practical experience of international company operations. After gaining a psychology degree at an American college, Karen returned to Great Britain to pursue a career in Business Analysis. She worked as a Credit Analyst for a Cambridge start-up company, moving on to a telecoms company as the Group Manager, Business Analysis and Management Information across 10 sites in the UK. This was during a period of consolidation of small companies into a large, national business and provided insight of organisational change. Since 2000, Karen has gained significant experience working on projects with senior management across a variety of industries from government sector to private industry. She often works within Finance divisions, particularly Credit, and works closely with IT, Customer Services and Sales.

Karen enjoys turning raw data into useful, objective information to apply innovative solutions to improve performance. She is motivated to complete projects to time, scope and budget to deliver real value.

Karen holds professional examinations in Business and Finance and is a graduate member of the Institute of Credit Management. She also earned a psychology degree while studying in America.
